Giant Trevally, Aitutaki Lagoon, Cook Islands

A giant trevally (Caranx ignobilis) swims near the floor of the coral reef in the lagoon off Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. The average size of an adult male giant travelly is about 39 inches (1 meter), although some can grow to as much as 67 inches (1.7 meters).
